Pictou calls out for legacy art piece

In recognition of the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Pictou and the 250th anniversary of the landing of the Ship Hector, the Town of Pictou is excited to announce it is seeking proposals for a public art piece to be unveiled on the Pictou waterfront in September of 2023.

This call for submissions invites artists from all backgrounds and disciplines to propose their creative ideas for a legacy art piece that explores the Town's relationship with water, how it's shaped the community, and how it has helped build meaningful connections.

The final art work, which will be installed at a prominent location on the Pictou waterfront, will have the potential to ignite conversations, spark curiosity, and foster a sense of pride among all who encounter it.
